Murphy's Backyard BBQ Competition Returns!

Murphy's Backyard BBQ is bringing the heat with two smokin' competitions: Brisket and People’s Choice competition! Pitmasters will fire up their best BBQ — from brisket to ribs, pork, chicken, and beyond — all for a shot at glory and up to $2,500 in prizes.

Think you’ve got what it takes to claim the title of Brisket or People’s Choice Champ? Bring the flavor and prove it on the grill!


Not a BBQ competitor? No problem! Admission is free, so come soak up the fun with live music, a beer garden, and more — all served with a side of backyard fun.

Friday, April 24

4:00 PM – Competition Begins

Saturday, April 25

12:00 PM – Brisket Judging Begins

12:30-2:30 PM – People's Choice Tasting

1:00-2:30 PM –Justin Ross & Deadwood Revival

2:30 PM – Awards/Winners Announced

PARKING

Parking will be located at PSA North Lot - 330 N Murphy Rd. Overflow parking will be available at Tom Kimbrough Stadium - 700 N Murphy Rd. 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Coolers, blankets, and lawn chairs are encouraged. Canopies/tents are prohibited.
  • Water station available. Bring a refillable water bottle.
  • Glass on park grounds is prohibited.
  • Dogs must remain on leash.
  • Be courteous. No parking in surrounding neighborhoods.
