Murphy Maize Days facts, information, and schedule
When: Saturday, Oct. 7 from noon to 9:45 p.m.
Where: Murphy Central Park, 550 North Murphy Road
Entry cost: FREE!
Parking: Free offsite parking and shuttles at Tom Kimbrough Stadium from noon to 10 p.m. Sidewalks along Murphy Middle School are open for walking from stadium to festival. No parking at City Hall.
Food: Wide variety of food and drink vendors and food trucks
Adult Refreshments: Yard Dawgs beverage sales at concession stand
Quick Facts:
- Refillable water bottles (non-glass) should be carried by attendees. Two water stations provided.
- No outside alcohol is allowed on festival grounds or shuttles.
- ADA-accessible (handicapped) parking is available on the east side of PSA Murphy building.
- No through traffic (vehicle or pedestrian) on Tom Clevenger or North Maxwell Creek Rd.
- Pets allowed, on leash and owner clean-up required.
- Please stay hydrated and apply sunscreen and insect repellent.
Festival Attractions:
- Noon: Festival opens.
- 1 p.m.: Cornhole Tournament starts.
- Noon to 4 p.m.: Car Show by Mustang Sally Productions - $20 per car entry.
- Noon to 5 p.m.: Punkin’ Chunkin’ - $5 per chunk, benefiting Murphy Chamber Scholarship Foundation; Petting Zoo; Trackless Train Rides.
- Noon to 7 p.m.: Sports Zone, Midway Rides and Games; Touch-A-Truck.
- Noon to 7 p.m.: Craft and Market vendors.
- 6:30 p.m.: Opening act – All Funk Radio Show at Methodist Richardson Medical Center Amphitheater stage.
- 8 p.m.: Headliner – Who’s Bad – The Ultimate Michael Jackson Experience at Methodist Richardson Amphitheater.
- 9:30 - 9:45 p.m.: Fireworks show - North Maxwell Creek Rd. closes for show.
