Craft beer, crawfish, music, and fun on tap at festival
Tunes, Tails & Ales set for Saturday, May 20
MURPHY (April 24, 2023) Craft beer aficionados in the greater Dallas-Fort Worth area are circling Saturday, May 20 on their calendars as the highly-popular Tunes, Tails and Ales festival returns to Murphy Central Park, 550 North Murphy Road.
“Each year, the festival attracts people from every part of DFW and beyond,” says Ashley Hudson, Murphy’s Special Events Coordinator. “The musical entertainment, the specially-curated list of craft beers, the seasonal crawfish, all combine to create a unique experience for everyone.”
This year’s Tunes, Tails and Ales opens with VIP entry into the beer garden at 1 p.m., followed by a 2 p.m. official opening of the event, which includes general admission into the beer garden. The beer garden will close promptly at 6:30 p.m. with the traditional “last call” happening at 6:15 p.m.
Fod trucks will provide a wide selection of delicious choices. Vendors scheduled for lunch, dinner, or snacking include American Gothic Pizza, The Baked Bear, Cajun Made Crawfish, Cousin’s Maine Lobster, Doss Tastebudz, and Kona Ice. Persons who wish to try the variety of craft beers will be required to be at least 21 years of age, and purchase either a VIP or general admission ticket. Beers will be presented by 28 vendors, each with a wide variety of brews and flavors. Proper hydration is key for a festival like this, and thanks to Evamor Products LLC, attendees can rehydrate in between tastings with bottles of refreshing Evamor water.

VIP tickets are sold online in limited quantities for $60 (plus fees) prior to the event and will not be sold on-site. General admission tickets will be sold online for $40 (plus fees) and for $45 at the festival.
Tickets are not required for purchasing wine by the glass, canned beers, food, or simply attending the event. Free concerts will be presented at the Hops Stage and the Amphitheater Stage. At the Hops Stage, the Texas Jazz Cats will perform from 1 to 3 p.m. followed by ET Sound DJ from 3 to 4 p.m. Brave Combo will close the Hops Stage with a two-hour set from 4 to 6 p.m. Then, at the Amphitheater Stage, the Missing 3 will play from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
