Murphy Maize Days facts, information, and schedule

When:  Saturday, Sept. 25 from noon to 9:45 p.m.

Where:  Murphy Central Park, 550 North Murphy Road

Parking:  Free offsite parking and shuttles at Tom Kimbrough Stadium from noon to 10 p.m.

Food:  Wide variety of food and drink vendors and food trucks

Adult Refreshments:  Garland Elks Lodge beverage tent (cash only), benefitting Texas Elks Children’s Services, Inc. located in the concession stand

Cash:  Two ATMs will be onsite

Festival Attractions:  

• 2-3 p.m.: David Chicken (kids’ performer) 6:30 p.m.: openers - The Vegas Stars, 8 p.m.: headliner - The British Invasion – Amphitheater Stage
• 9:30 - 9:45 p.m.: Fireworks show - North Maxwell Creek Rd. closes for show
• Noon to 7 p.m.: Kid’s carnival rides, large Kid Zone tent and preschool tent. Petting zoo pony rides and Gelly Ball require fee. 
• Noon to 7 p.m.: Craft and Market vendors
• Noon to 4 p.m.: Punkin’ Chunkin’ - $5 per chunk, benefiting the Murphy Chamber Scholarship Foundation
• Noon to 4 p.m.: Low cost microchipping and pet tags sold by the Murphy Animal Shelter
• 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.: Touch-a-Truck
• Noon to 4 p.m.: Car Show by Mustang Sally Productions - $20 per car entry

Quick Facts:

• Picnic baskets or coolers are permitted, but no outside alcohol allowed on festival grounds or shuttles
• The Moms’ Club is sponsoring a diaper changing/baby feeding booth by the concession stand  
• Blankets and chairs encouraged for reserving spots for concerts and fireworks
• All entrances are located along the west side of Central Park facing PSA parking lot
• No through traffic (vehicle or pedestrian) on Tom Clevenger or North Maxwell Creek Rd. Residents only
• No parking along soccer field on Tom Clevenger. Vendor loading/unloading only
• Pets allowed, on leash and owner clean-up required
• Please stay hydrated and apply sunscreen and insect repellent
• Red ID wristbands for kids who might “lose their parents” are available and encouraged
