Construction to have effect on S. Maxwell Creek Road
Wastewater line installation to take about 30 days
MURPHY (November 19, 2019) To accommodate the installation of approximately 700 feet of new wastewater piping, excavation crews will be closing a significant portion of South Maxwell Creek Road for about one month.
Starting on Wednesday, Nov. 20 and continuing until Wednesday, Dec. 18, traffic will not be accommodated on South Maxwell Creek Road from FM 544 southward for about 1,000 feet. Access to that general area can be made by turning east from South Murphy Road on Ridgeview Drive, then north on Kinney Drive, following Kinney Drive as it veers east to South Maxwell Creek Road.
Emergency vehicles will be able to access the area through the detour. During the construction, drivers are encouraged to find alternate routes to points south of the affected area.
The construction timetable is dependent on favorable weather conditions.
The South Maxwell Creek Road project is part of a larger wastewater, stormwater, and road surface rehabilitation project for the general South Maxwell Creek Road area that is part of the 2018/2020 Capital Improvement Projects bond program.
