Vendors sought for seventh annual Murphy Maize Days
Annual fall festival set for Saturday, Sept. 26

MURPHY (July 14, 2015) Preparations are underway for the seventh annual Murphy Maize Days fall festival, says Kayla McFarland, Special Events Coordinator.

“We’re already deeply into the planning stage for this year’s event,” she said. “We are putting the word out to all potential food and merchandise vendors to get their applications in as soon as possible to reserve their space.”

The festival, held on the grounds of the Municipal Complex, 206 North Murphy Road, is set for Saturday, Sept. 26 from 10 a.m. to 8:15 p.m. Title sponsor for this year’s event is PSA, the indoor games center on the grounds of Murphy Central Park.

Entry into the event is free, with vendors offering their products for sale.

“Most of the event layout will be the same as in previous years,” added McFarland. “However, there will be a few additions and changes. We think the attendees will be very pleased with the new additions.”

The day begins with the A-Maize-ing Races, one-mile, 5K and 10K races that benefit various charities.

Vendor applications and registration for the Maize Market and the food court are available by visiting www.murphymaizedays.com or via e-mail at murphymaizedays@murphytx.org.
