Electronic Waste (E-Waste)

Curbside pick-up is set for April and October each year.

This service is available by scheduled appointment only. To schedule a pick-up for electronic waste or for additional information on collection, please call Waste Connections at 469-452-8000. All request must be made by phone or email by 4:00 pm the prior day the event is scheduled for.  This is the cutoff time to schedule your address for pickup.  NO EXCEPTIONS

Curbside Pick-Up

Twice per year, during the months of April and October, Waste Connections will conduct city-wide curbside collection of acceptable Electronic Waste material for Murphy residents. This service is only provided when resident contacts Waste Connections to schedule a pick-up. Residents should contact Waste Connections
at 469-452-8000 for packaging instructions and additional details.

E-waste materials should be in a cardboard box or plastic bin, marked “E-Waste” with a permanent marker and placed curbside by 7 a.m. on your scheduled service day.

Bi-annual curbside e-waste collection will be provided at no cost to the residents of Murphy by contacting Progressive Waste and scheduling pick-up. Progressive Waste will provide e-waste pickups outside of twice-per-year scheduled collection at a fee of $125 plus the cost of disposal on items collected.

The City of Murphy is not affiliated with the electronic events suggested below or the drop off locations.

E-recyclers cannot accept televisions, LCD monitors or CRT monitors with broken screens.
